CV 3- Updating your CV
Your CV should be constantly updated and revised.
- Set a date each month or at the end of each rotation to update it
- Have multiple people review your CV
Your CV should be tailored for each job or opportunity you apply for.
The tips in this course are for a final year student pharmacist applying to pharmacy residency programs. If you are earlier in your pharmacy school journey, you may not have all of these sections. If you have been out of school for a few years, your CV should include the experiences you've had since school.
As you advance throughout your pharmacy career, old information should be shortened and possibly deleted. For example, someone finishing up their PGY-1 residency can take out any descriptions of their APPEs but put descriptions for their residency rotations.
